Once upon a time in the beautiful lands of New Zealand, two hearts lived on opposite islands.

Sam hailed from the mighty Palmerston North, while I resided in Nelson. Fate, however, had other plans for us.

We had both found ourselves in Wellington for work at similar times, and as destiny would have it, we appeared on each other's Tinder. I wasn't that interested in someone so far away, but couldn't swipe past the guy with the great arms and cute dog.

Sam was all too quick to send an opening line, and it was nothing short of magical. He praised the mighty queen Jacinda Ardern in Te Reo Maori, and I knew right then that he was something special. It was like a scene straight out of a fairy tale. Taylor Swift once said, “You could be the one that I love,” and from that moment, I had a feeling he could be the one for me.

Sam decided on a sneaky little trip to visit me in Nelson, and I’ll never forget the day he showed up on my doorstep. He wore a white shirt that was just a little too tight, and perfectly showing off his great arms. I thought to myself, "Nice to meet you, where you been? I could show you incredible things."

From that day on, we’ve been inseparable. We’ve shared countless adventures, laughter, and love, and stayed strong through the darkest of days.
